Chaves County, NM-On November 9, 2025, at approximately 11:30 a.m., New Mexico State Police officers proactively responded to a violent domestic incident after scanning neighboring agency radio traffic. Officers learned through the Pecos Valley Regional Communications Center (PVRCC) of a woman calling 911, stating her ex-boyfriend was attempting to kill her and had pulled a knife. During the open 911 call, the suspect could be heard threatening to kill the victim and yelling at her for calling law enforcement.
