SANTA FE – Cabinet Secretary Jason R. Bowie issued this statement on the tragic deaths of three members of the Bernalillo County Sheriff’s Office and one member of the Bernalillo County Fire Department:
“Today, our hearts are broken by the tragic and distressing news that we lost four of the state’s finest public servants, killed in the line of duty. It’s a sacrifice no one should have to make. The New Mexico Department of Public Safety stands ready to assist law enforcement and the citizens of Bernalillo County. Our thoughts and deepest sympathies are with the families, friends, coworkers, and the citizens of Bernalillo County as they mourn the loss of these four heroes.”
