Bernalillo County, NM – On June 6, 2022, at approximately 8:24 p.m., the New Mexico State Police investigated a double fatal rollover crash on Interstate 25, near milepost 223, in Albuquerque, NM.

The initial investigation indicates a 2017 Dodge Durango SUV, with two occupants, was traveling south on Interstate 25. For unknown reasons, when the Durango entered a curved portion of the roadway, it struck a concrete barrier and rolled. The driver, Karla Yyvette Tenorio (29) of Santo Domingo Pueblo, NM, and the passenger, Christopher Lee Caseman (29) from Bloomfield, NM, were both ejected from the vehicle. Both Tenorio and Caseman were transported to the UNM Hospital in Albuquerque, where Tenorio succumbed to her injuries. On June 7, 2022, Caseman also succumbed to his injuries at the hospital.

Alcohol was not a factor in the crash and seatbelts were not properly utilized by both occupants in the Durango. This crash is under investigation by the New Mexico State Police with the assistance of the New Mexico State Police Crash Reconstruction Unit.
