Mescalero, NM- The following is information for the distribution of a Silver Alert from the Bureau of Indian Affairs. For any questions, please contact the Bureau of Indian Affairs (BIA) at (575) 464-4479.
BIA is asking for the public’s assistance in locating Robert Dayaye who is described as a 71-year-old Native American male, 6’0” tall, weighing 167 pounds, with brown eyes and long gray hair. He was last seen on January 14, 2022, at around 9:30 a.m., at 366 Soldier Canyon in Mescalero, NM. It is believed Dayaye went hiking and did not return. Dayaye was last seen wearing black pants, a jacket, and brown and black shoes. His whereabouts and destination are not known. Robert Dayaye is missing and believed to be in danger if not located.
