Albuquerque, NM- In December of 2021, New Mexico State Police Uniform officers from Albuquerque, NM, teamed up with the Ross Dress for Less Lost Prevention and conducted a 3-day shoplifting operation “Operation Stop the Theft”. The operation was conducted at two Dress for Less Ross stores located near Eubank and Copper, and San Mateo and Montgomery in Albuquerque, NM. The operation was aimed at identifying and apprehending individuals who shoplift.

During the 3-day operation, four individuals were arrested and booked into the Bernalillo County Metropolitan Detention Center in Albuquerque, NM, for Shoplifting, Aggravated Fleeing from a Law Enforcement Officer, Resisting, Evading or Obstructing an Officer, two Felony Drug-Related Arrest warrants, and one Felony Arrest warrant. Four other cooperative individuals were issued a criminal summons for shoplifting into the Metropolitan Court in Albuquerque, NM.

This operation continues to show the New Mexico State Police’s commitment to improving the quality of life for all citizens and businesses, especially those directly impacted by crime.
