Sierra County- On Wednesday, September 22, 2021, the New Mexico State Police conducted a Warrant Operation in Truth or Consequences, NM (T or C).

During the operation, two wanted male subjects, who were not listed in the operation were identified and believed to be in the T or C area. Working with the T or C Police Department, officers from New Mexico State Police and T or C Police Department located David Porter (31) of Las Cruces, NM, and Isaac Childress (24) of T or C, NM. The two were arrested in T or C without incident and they were both booked into the Sierra County Detention Facility in T or C, NM.

David Porter was arrested on an arrest warrant out of the Doña Ana County Magistrate Court for two counts of Aggravated Stalking, Use of Telephone to Terrify, Intimidate, Threaten, Harass, Annoy or Offend, and Violation of a Protection Order. In an unrelated incident, Childress was arrested for Aggravated Fleeing from a Law Enforcement Officer after leading officers on a short pursuit following a traffic violation.

New Mexico State Police would like to thank the T or C Police Department for their vital role and assistance in the arrests of David Porter and Isaac Childress. New Mexico State Police will continue to work in collaboration with the T or C Police Department in locating other wanted individuals in T or C, and the surrounding area.
