Taos, NM -The following information is for the distribution of a Silver Alert from the New Mexico State Police (NMSP).

NMSP is seeking the public’s assistance in locating David L. Pettenger and Mary J. Pettenger. David is described as a Caucasian male, 83-years-old, 6’0” tall, weighing 180 pounds, with blue eyes and gray hair. Mary is described as an 86-year-old Caucasian female, 5’6” tall, 130 pounds, with blue eyes, and gray hair. The two were last seen on Wednesday, September 15, 2021, at around 11:30 a.m., leaving their residence in Rancho De Taos, NM. Both David and Mary left in a vehicle to their destination to meet a family member in Pollack, California, however the two did not arrive as planned. David and Mary are believed to be traveling in a green 1998 Honda CRV displaying a New Mexico Balloon Fiesta license plate of HAL101. It is unknown what they were both last seen wearing and their whereabouts are not known. Both David and Mary Pettenger are MISSING and believed to be in danger if not located.
