Albuquerque, NM – The following is information for the distribution of a Silver Alert from the University of New Mexico Police Department (UNM PD). Please refer all media inquiries and questions to UNM PD at (505) 277-2241.

UNM PD is asking for the public’s assistance in locating John Alpeche. Alpeche is described as a 53-year-old Native American male, 6’0” tall, weighing 185 pounds, with black hair and brown eyes. He was last seen on June 15, 2021, around 2:00 p.m. at the University of New Mexico Hospital located on 2211 Lomas Boulevard NE in Albuquerque, NM. Alpeche walked away from the hospital and is believed to be on foot. He was last seen wearing blue and green checkered pants and a gray t-shirt. Alpeche does have a tattoo of a snake/dragon on his back and tattoos on his upper arms. The whereabouts of Alpeche are unknown. John Alpeche is missing and believed to be in danger if not located.
