Sierra County, NM – On May 8, 2021 at approximately 10:22 p.m., the New Mexico State Police investigated a fatal crash on Interstate 25 near mile marker 67 south of Truth or Consequences, New Mexico.
The initial investigation indicated a 2007 Chevrolet Silverado was traveling south on Interstate 25 near mile marker 67. For reasons unknown, the driver of the Silverado left the roadway and rolled. The driver, Anthony Padilla (25) of Truth or Consequences, NM was ejected and sustained fatal injuries in the crash. Padilla was pronounced deceased by the Office of the Medical Investigator.
Alcohol does not appear to be a factor and seatbelts do not appear to have been properly utilized.
