Dona Ana County, NM – On March 14, 2020 at around 6:30 p.m. The New Mexico State Police responded to two car fatal crash on Interstate 10, mile post 144 in Las Cruces.
The initial investigation indicates, a 2005 Hyundai was traveling east on interstate 10. For unknown reasons, the Hyundai crossed the center median into westbound traffic and struck a 2005 Cadillac. The driver of the Hyundai, Martin Flores Amparan (56) of Las Cruces, NM and the driver of the Cadillac Manuel Dominguez Alba (68) of Vado, NM both sustained fatal injuries and were pronounced deceased on scene by the Office of the Medical Investigator. A fifty-five-year-old-female of Las Cruces who was a passenger in the Cadillac was airlifted from the scene. Her condition is not known.
Alcohol appears to be a contributing factor in both vehicles and seatbelts appear to have been properly worn. The is crash is still under investigation by the New Mexico State Police.
