San Juan County, NM - The following is information for the distribution of a Silver Alert from the San Juan County Sheriff’s Office (SJCSO). Please refer all media inquiries and questions to SJCSO at (505) 334-6622.

SJCSO is asking for the public's assistance in locating Herbert Benally. Benally is a 75-year-old Native American male, five-feet-six-inches tall, weighing 146 pounds, with gray hair and brown eyes. Benally was last seen around 11:00 a.m. on February 29, 2020 at his residence #6 County Road 4491 in Farmington, NM. Benally left on foot in an unknown direction. He was last seen wearing a dark gray baseball hat, faded blue jeans, a zip up gray hoodie, and wearing brown cowboy boots. Benally also wears silver frames prescription glasses. Herbert Benally is missing and believed to be in danger if not located.
