One Vehicle Fatal Crash in Santa Fe County

Santa Fe County- On January 18, 2020 at about 7:59 a.m., the New Mexico State Police investigated a single vehicle fatal crash on Interstate 25, near milepost 297, east of Santa Fe, NM.

The Initial investigation indicated a 2003 GMC Yukon, driven by Brentley Doyle Johnson (49) of Santa Fe, NM was traveling south on Interstate 25. For unknown reasons the vehicle left the roadway, struck a guardrail and a concrete barrier. The driver, Johnson sustained fatal injuries in the crash, and he was pronounced deceased on scene by the Office of Medical Investigator.

Alcohol does not appear to be a factor in the crash and seatbelts appear to have not been properly utilized. No additional information is available.
