Fatal Crash in Chaves County

Chaves County, NM - On June 23, 2018 at about 5:20 a.m. the New Mexico State Police investigated a fatal crash on US Highway 70 around mile post 352 north of Roswell.
The initial investigation indicated a 2004 Toyota 4-Runner was traveling west on US 70. For unknown reasons the Toyota left the roadway into the center median, over corrected and rolled. The driver Antonio L. Oros (35) of Eagle Pass, TX was ejected, sustained fatal injuries, and was pronounced deceased at the scene.
Alcohol does not appear to be a contributing factor to the crash and seatbelts do not appear to have been properly utilized. The crash is still under investigation and no additional information is available at this time.
