Fatal Tractor-Trailer Rollover on US Highway 60 in Guadalupe County

Guadalupe County, NM - On December 17, 2018 at about 11:48 p.m., the New Mexico State Police investigated a fatal crash on US Highway 360 at about mile post 284 east of Vaughan.
The initial investigation indicated a 2012 International (CMV) driven by Francisco Ornelas (31) of Portales, NM, was traveling east on US Highway 360. For reasons unknown, the CMV left the roadway and began to roll. Ornelas was pronounced deceased at the scene by the Office of the Medical Investigator.
Alcohol does not appear to be factor and it is unknown if seatbelts were utilized. No additional information is available at this time.
